Last Friday, our school announced a very special event called Career Day. Everybody was excited because four important guests were coming to talk about their jobs. The teachers laid out chairs and put a big glass of water on each table. The gym was ready for a wonderful day.
The first guest was Dr. Chen, a pretty famous doctor in our city. She talked about physical health and how our bodies work. She said that our bodies have the ability to fight sickness when we eat well and sleep enough. She also said that we should not suffer when we are young. Taking care of ourselves is an important function in daily life.
The second guest was a lawyer named Mr. Wang. He said that his job is to help people who have problems with the law. He talked about crime and defence. He indicated that neither the sex nor the age of a person changes their right to be treated fairly. His character is calm and kind, and his behaviour is always polite and professional.
The third guest was a professor from a large university. Her style of teaching was very fun and easy to follow. She said that every student is a user of knowledge and should never stop learning. She also said that the best way to obtain new skills is to keep reading and asking questions every day. A good professor always helps students grow and think for themselves.
The last guest was an army officer. He showed us a picture of a horse and explained that horses helped armies move faster in old times. He talked about how soldiers need physical training every day. They also need the ability to work as a team and stay strong together. He said that a good soldier does not attack others without a good reason. Their most important job is to protect people and keep them safe.
After all the talks, the students watched a short television program about these careers. The program showed that good behaviour and strong character can indicate a truly great worker. A person who does not suffer from bad habits and always tries to do right will succeed in any job.
At the end of Career Day, everybody felt they had learned something new and important. Whether you want to be a doctor, a lawyer, a professor, or an army officer, what matters most is your heart and how you treat others. Work hard, be kind, and always do your best.
