In our class of thirty students, Jason is the tallest. He is 180 centimeters tall, which is the highest in our entire grade. When he walks into the classroom every morning, everyone notices him right away. It is not hard to see why—he is much taller than most of his classmates, and even taller than some of our teachers.
Because Jason is the tallest student in school, the PE teacher always picks him first for the basketball team. He is also one of the best players on the team. His long arms help him reach the basket and block the ball better than the other players. He also practices the hardest. Last month, his team won the school basketball championship, and Jason scored the most points in the final game.
Jason's best friend is Amy. She is the shortest student in our class at only 148 centimeters. Some people think Amy is the weakest runner because she has the shortest legs in class. But Amy is actually the fastest runner in our entire school. She wakes up early and trains the most carefully every single day. Hard work is her biggest secret.
On sports day, Amy wins the 100-meter race, and Jason scores the most points in the basketball game. Every student in our class has something special about them. Some students are the most creative in art class, and others are the best at math or science. The most important thing is not how tall or short we are, but how hard we work every day.
