To all employees: The Human Resources Department is pleased to announce that the company headquarters will undergo major renovation this spring. Work will begin on April 20 and is expected to continue for six weeks. During this period, most employees will work from a temporary office at Harbor Center, located three blocks from the current building. The change is intended to improve meeting rooms, customer areas, and employee facilities.
The temporary office will open on May 4, and the new work arrangement will be effective that day. Employees in the Sales, Finance, and Customer Support departments will move to Harbor Center first. The Product Development team will continue working in the current building until May 15 because its equipment is difficult to move. Managers will provide each team with a detailed seating plan before its moving date.
For transportation, the company will operate a free shuttle between Central Station and Harbor Center. The first bus will leave Central Station at 7:45 a.m., and the last bus will leave Harbor Center at 6:30 p.m. A complete weekday schedule is available on the company intranet. Employees who need an earlier or later trip should contact Facilities by April 10 so that another adjustment can be considered.
Staff members who need monitors, chairs, or other equipment at the temporary office must submit a request form no later than April 3. Forms are available from the Facilities Department or may be downloaded from the intranet. Because supplies are limited, requests will be reviewed according to job needs and the date received. Employees should not move company equipment on their own, even if they believe the move will be convenient.
During the renovation, access to the current headquarters will be restricted to approved staff. Anyone entering the building must wear a safety badge and follow the instructions of the construction team. Personal items may be collected from desks before April 18, but large boxes cannot remain in the building. Employees who pay for necessary transportation because of the temporary arrangement may apply for reimbursement by submitting receipts to Finance.
We understand that this adjustment may affect daily routines, and we appreciate everyone's cooperation. Please notify your manager of any special work requirements as soon as possible. Questions about seating, equipment, or building access should be sent to facilities@northstar.com, while questions about reimbursement should be directed to the Finance Department. A final reminder will be sent one week before each team moves.
