Ming-Ming and his best friend Kai often spend their weekends playing soccer in the park. On Friday evening, they check the weather report on Kai's phone. "If it is sunny tomorrow, let's go to the park early in the morning," Ming-Ming says with a big smile. Kai agrees right away and adds, "If we go early, we will have the whole morning to play. It will be so much fun!"
They start to plan the details. "I will bring extra water if it is hot outside," says Kai. Ming-Ming says, "If my little sister wants to join us, she can come too. She practices a lot these days." They also agree that if they feel hungry after playing, they will buy some food from a shop near the park.
Then Ming-Ming thinks of something important. "What if it rains tomorrow? We should have another plan, just in case." Kai nods and says, "If it rains, we will stay home and watch the soccer game on TV. It will still be a great day." Ming-Ming smiles and says, "If we finish watching the game early, we can also review our notes for next Monday's test. Two birds, one stone!"
The boys feel ready for anything. They know that if the weather is good, they will enjoy a fun morning outside. And if it is not, they will have a comfortable and useful day at home. Making an "if" plan is always a good idea, because you can never be sure what tomorrow will bring. No matter what happens, they are sure to spend a wonderful time together.
