Now that I am finally back home, I have taken some time to look back on the trip and everything it brought me. By the time we got home, we had visited four cities, tried countless local dishes, and met people whose stories I will never forget. Unpacking my bags felt both satisfying and a little sad, as if I were closing a chapter of a book I had truly loved.

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the three days we spent in a small coastal town where almost no one spoke English. The experience forced me to rely on hand gestures, maps, and a great deal of patience. What made it even more memorable was how warmly the locals treated us—they never made me feel embarrassed for not knowing the language.

Of course, the journey also came with its share of culture shock. I had not expected how different the daily routines were, from mealtimes to the way people greeted each other in public. These moments of confusion became the most valuable lessons learned. Traveling taught me that stepping outside your comfort zone is where real growth happens.

If only we had stayed longer in the first city, we could have explored the hidden neighborhoods that a local had recommended. I also wish I had kept a proper travel journal from the very beginning instead of just taking photos. What I would do differently next time is to slow down, plan fewer things, and leave more room for unexpected discoveries.

Even though jet lag kept me awake for the first two nights after I returned, I found myself already searching for the next destination. The trip reminded me that the world is far bigger and more fascinating than any guidebook can describe. Do not wait until everything feels perfect before you start planning the next trip—it never will be, and that is exactly the point.
