Kevin always walks to school with his best friend, Mia. Every morning, he gets up at seven o'clock, eats breakfast with his family, and listens to music on the way. He usually arrives at school before eight and talks with his classmates before class.

But today is different. Mia is sick and stays at home. Kevin is walking to school alone now, and he feels a little lonely without her. His mom is also making him a special lunch right now because Kevin has a big English test this afternoon.

Kevin knows today is not the same as usual. It feels a little strange, but he smiles and walks faster. He thinks, "Mia will be back tomorrow, and everything will be normal again."
