Kevin, an accountant from Taipei, planned a special trip with his wife Linda to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. They chose to travel to the southeast coast, famous for its wildlife and dramatic scenery. Whenever the guide stopped to explain something, the tourists would interrupt with eager questions. It was easy to confuse one cave passage for another in the darkness, but the guide kept everyone calm and united.
On the second day, their rental car broke down on the mountain road. Kevin had to beg a passing driver for help, feeling uncomfortable speaking to a stranger. Then Linda let out a cry: "My wallet was stolen!" She had noticed it missing after stopping at a roadside market. A local soccer coach and his team happened to stop nearby and kindly offered to help.
The warmth and generosity of those strangers made all the difference. They called a repair shop and stayed until the car was fixed. Kevin later wrote in his travel journal, "This anniversary trip did not go as planned, but the people we met along the way made it the most unforgettable journey of our lives."
