Amber: Good morning, Mr. Lin. My name is Amber, and I am a reporter for our school newspaper. Thank you for letting me visit the fire station today.

Mr. Lin: Good morning, Amber. Welcome to our station! I am happy to answer your questions.

Amber: I have always been curious about this job. How long have you been a firefighter?

Mr. Lin: I have been a firefighter for fifteen years. It has been a challenging but rewarding job.

Amber: That's a long time! Can you tell me what you do on a normal workday?

Mr. Lin: We check our equipment every morning, practice drills, and wait for emergency calls. We must always be ready.

Amber: What's the hardest part of being a firefighter?

Mr. Lin: The hardest part is staying calm in dangerous situations. When there is a fire, we have to think and move very quickly.

Amber: Can you tell me how firefighters are trained?

Mr. Lin: We are trained to handle fire, rescue people, and give first aid. The training is tough, but it saves lives.

Amber: What kind of equipment do you use at work?

Mr. Lin: We use helmets, protective suits, oxygen masks, and fire hoses. Without the right equipment, we cannot fight a fire safely.

Amber: Have you ever faced a really dangerous situation?

Mr. Lin: Yes, I have. Once, I rescued a young child from a burning building. It was one of the most serious emergencies I have ever faced.

Amber: That must have been very scary. Were you afraid?

Mr. Lin: Of course I was nervous, but I was trained to stay focused. Being brave doesn't mean you are never afraid — it means you act even when you are.

Amber: What advice would you give to students who want to become firefighters?

Mr. Lin: Study hard, stay healthy, and learn to care about others. This job is about saving lives and protecting your community.

Amber: Are you proud of your work, Mr. Lin?

Mr. Lin: Yes, I am very proud to be a firefighter. Every life we save makes all the danger and hard work worth it.

Amber: Thank you so much, Mr. Lin. This has been a very inspiring interview!

Mr. Lin: You are welcome, Amber. I hope you and your classmates learn more about firefighters. We are always here to help.
