Yesterday was a school day. In the morning, I was in the classroom with my friends. The teacher was Ms. Lin. She was very kind and helpful. We were all excited because there was a new student in our class. His name was Peter.

After school, I was at the park near my house. My friends Kevin and Amy were there, too. The weather was warm and sunny. We were very happy to play basketball together. I was not tired at all!

At night, I was at home with my family. My parents were in the kitchen. My little brother was in his room. I was at my desk. The whole family was happy. It was a wonderful day!

S + was/were + 形容詞 主詞 + was/were + 形容詞 過去式的 be 動詞只有 was 和 were 兩個字，用來描述過去某時的狀態。主詞是 I、he、she、it 時用 was；主詞是 we、they、you（複數）時用 were。例如：I was happy.（我很開心。）、They were tired.（他們很累。）否定句在 was／were 後加 not：I was not tired.（我不累。）

S + was/were + at/in + 地方 主詞 + was/were + at/in + 地方 表示過去「在某個地方」，把現在式的 am／is／are 換成 was／were 即可。介系詞 at 常接較小或具體的地點（at home、at the park），in 常接較大的空間（in the classroom、in the room）。例如：She was at school.（她在學校。）、We were in the gym.（我們在體育館裡。）
