Every February, our school holds its annual talent show. This year, the drama club decided to put on a special play about history. More than a dozen students signed up to join. They were excited to be part of something big.
The play is about a British queen who married an African king many years ago. At first, there was a great conflict between their two countries. The people on both sides had to battle hard for peace. Many people began to doubt whether things could ever change. But the queen and the king showed great strength and spirit. They believed in working together, and slowly, the conflict came to an end.
The students practiced every afternoon in the school studio. Their master teacher, Mr. Lin, was very kind and patient. He helped each pair of students learn their lines and practice their movements. He often said, "When you feel doubt, stick to your goal and do not give up." His words gave everyone the strength to carry on.
One afternoon, an accident happened at the studio. A student fell into a small hole near the edge of the stage. Luckily, the school had good protection rules and the right insurance for all students. The student was not seriously hurt. The others used their brain to solve the problem. They fixed the hole with wood and made the stage safe again.
In the story, the African king sends a large ship to transport goods to the British lands. This becomes an annual trade event that brings the two sides closer. Over time, the people begin to associate with each other and share ideas. The contribution of both the queen and the king helps their countries grow stronger and more peaceful.
On the night of the show, every student gave their best. The audience watched quietly as the queen and king stood together on stage to end the long conflict. After the play, the school drama league gave the club a prize for their great teamwork. Everyone cheered loudly. The spirit of that evening was something no one would forget.
The annual talent show was a great success. The students learned that when people have strength and spirit, even big conflicts can be solved. They also learned that a good master teacher can make a big difference. They were grateful to Mr. Lin for his hard work and his belief in them.
