Kevin is a high school student who tries to keep a steady pace in his studies. He registers for several clubs each semester and rarely falls behind. But one Tuesday afternoon, his heart began to sink when he saw the assignment board—an essay on his favorite poet was due the very next morning.

His anxiety started to spin out of control. Kevin paused at his desk and cleared his throat, trying to calm down. The situation felt altogether awful. He knew this essay differed from his usual short homework because it required careful research and deep personal thinking. To begin with, he was not even sure what topic to choose.

Luckily, his classmate Amy, who was disabled and used a walking assistant every day, noticed that Kevin looked upset. She offered to give him a hand. Amy was a talented poet herself and had won a fortune in school writing prizes. Personally, Kevin was surprised—he had never asked anyone for help before. Together, they headed to the library.

The library assistant pulled back the curtain on a shelf of useful books and introduced them to a research consultant who guided students with difficult essays. With the exception of a short lunch break, Kevin and Amy worked through every interval between their afternoon classes. Amy's aggressive approach to research—never stopping, always pushing forward—kept Kevin focused and on track.

By the next morning, Kevin had submitted his essay and felt much better. On his way to school, he caught up with Amy at the bus stop and thanked her sincerely. That afternoon, they went shopping at the nearby night market to celebrate. They talked and laughed so much that they missed the bus home—but neither of them minded at all.
